February 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Herbs that can survive cold, heat, drought, and indifferent care – those are Herculean indeed! But Jacqueline also calls them Herculean because many of them come to us from the lands where Hercules once roamed – the soaring hillsides and rugged coasts of the Mediterranean. These herbs grow well in the West, and can be used for food, flavor, gifts, and more. Dr. Soule will discuss a selection of herbs, including some “Herculean” regional plants native to our shores that are often overlooked by gardeners.
After the presentation, Jacqueline will sell and sign her recent gardening books.
