Southern Arizona is a unique growing area presenting numerous challenges - mineral rich soils, cool winters, hot summers, and voracious wildlife. Dr. Jacqueline Soule will discuss a number of low water plants that will help your yard look colorful, lush and inviting for you – especially in the cooler months when we want to use our yards. She will sell and sign her recent books after the program.

  Herbal lotions are easy to make and cost pennies! You can even use a number of plants that you can you grow in your own yard for fragrance or skin nourishing additives. This program will teach you how to make lotion - plus send you home with recipes and a sample.  Preregistration is required.  Contact the library for further details.
